THE Conservative parliamentary candidate for Calder Valley has visited a Brighouse dental practice, which is offering free treatment for children in the constituency.
Craig Whittaker visited the Fresh Smile Clinic in High Street, Brighouse, and praised the firm’s campaign to tackle child tooth decay head on. It comes after new figures revealed that more than half of 12-year-olds in the UK have high levels of tooth decay.
Mr Whittaker, who is bidding to become MP for Calder Valley for another term, said: “The fact that a large number of children don’t feel comfortable smiling and laughing because of the state of their teeth is very sad and It’s great to see one of our established dentists is taking the issue seriously and offering free treatment for under-18s.”
