YOUNGSTERS at a Bradford youth centre, who took part in courses in first aid and study preparation and food hygiene have had their achievements recognised.
The BYO Centre in Cornwall Road, Manningham, presented a number of young people with certificates at a recognition and celebration event yesterday.
Bradford Council leader, Cllr David Green, was among those who attended and praised the work of the organisation, sayingHe said: “It is part of what BYO does for its local community.
“I was delighted to be there. It shows what a good community organisation can do to help support young people and their educational attainment.”
The courses were partly funded by money from the council and Children in Need grants, said Cllr Green.
BYO is a registered charity that helps and supports children and young people, and the community, with opportunities in employment, training, education and recreation.
