A KEIGHLEY medical practice has received an accolade in recognition of the support it gives to patients with learning disabilities.
Kilmeny Surgery’s practice nurse team has been presented with the Healthy Living Award by Bradford People First.
The team was nominated by two patients.
Dr Brendan Kennedy, a GP partner at the Ingrow surgery, said: “I would like to express my thanks to Bradford People First for recognising the excellent care given by our nursing team to patients with learning disabilities.
“The nurses will always go the extra mile and they should be proud that their professionalism and effort is valued so highly by our patients and carers and has been acknowledged with this award.”
Bradford People First, a self-advocacy group formed over 20 years ago, works to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities across the district.
