A QUAD bike was seized by police after it was seen being ridden with a small child sat in front of the driver.
Residents from the Eskdale Rise area of Allerton reported the nuisance quad bike earlier this week, and told police they were concerned for the safety of the child.
After reports the same bike was being driven dangerously on Wednesday afternoon, police searched the area and found the quad bike.
The vehicle was seized under section 59 of the Police Reform Act, and the rider is now subject to a 12 month period where he can not use any vehicle under similar circumstances.
PC David Hitchcocks of the police's 'quad squad' said: “This is a positive result in response to repeated nuisance use of the quad locally. Calls from the local community have brought about an end to the noise nuisance and in all likelihood, prevented injury to the young child.
"Please help us to help you by reporting any nuisance vehicle issues to the Police so we can put a stop to it.”
