Friends and family are looking to raise funds for Miss Wright’s children. And awareness of their fundraising efforts increased yesterday when the story became the most read on the Telegraph & Argus website and was seen by more than 10,000 people on Facebook during the course of the day.
Speaking last night, Joanna Fowler, a long-time friend of Miss Wright, said: “Kelly’s family have been overwhelmed by people’s kindness and generosity.
“Even people who don’t know her have donated things.”
Donations of goods continue to come in for a fun day in her honour at The Gallopers pub, Wakefield Road, Bradford on Saturday, May 2, from noon.
A sponsored walk from Holme Wood to Bradford’s City Park will be held tomorrow from 1pm.
