A VAN driver will stand trial on July 2 accused of seriously injuring a motorcyclist in a crash.
Joel Samuel yesterday pleaded not guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving on the A58 Whitehall Road, Scholes, on August 21 last year. Samuel, 54, of Cockburn Close, Leeds, admitted the alternative less serious offence of careless driving.
He was driving a Nissan van which was in collision with a Kawasaki bike being ridden by Paul Sharrock.
The case management hearing at Bradford Crown Court was adjourned until April 24. Samuel is on unconditional bail.
