Silsden’s Tour de France group, which co-ordinated local celebrations for last summer’s race, has continued meeting over the past few months to look at activities on May 3.
The Tour de Yorkshire was devised following the success of last year’s Tour de France, which came through Silsden, Keighley and Haworth.
The May 3 race is expected to go through Silsden between 3.20pm and 3.40pm, and amateur riders taking part in accompanying Sportive race should reach the town at least two hours beforehand.
