AWARDS have been presented to top performers in this year’s Manorlands Keighley BigK 10K run.
The event, on Mother’s Day, attracted just over 1,000 entrants and raised more than £40,000 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
Accolades have been handed out in a ceremony at the Three Acres restaurant, Lees Moor, which itself had a team take part and volunteers help with the marshalling.
Steeton-based Acorn Stairlifts – a regular supporter of the annual extravaganza, which starts and finishes in Victoria Park – was again among the leading prize winners. It took the honour for most participants – 67 – and the five-strong team raising the most, £5,000.
Fellow runners from the Station Road firm added a further £1,000, with Debra Armsden taking the title of highest individual fundraiser – £878.
Other award winners included University Academy Keighley and Yoga and BC Wellbeing Keighley, with most entries in the school and fitness centre categories.
Keighley and Craven Athletics Club had the fastest five male and female runners.
