A VINTAGE cocktail bar and a presentation by a beer expert are among the new attractions at this weekend’s Haworth Beer Festival.
The event runs from tomorrow until Sunday in the Old School Room, in Church Street.
Organiser Kath Thornton said Jane Peyton would speak at the corporate part of the festival, which begins at 12.30pm tomorrow.
“It’s amazing to have Jane present for us,” she said. “We’ve never had someone so influential in the industry attending before.”
Tomorrow night will be a chilled out evening, with soulful music and sample tasting.
On Saturday the festival will run from noon till midnight with prizes on offer and more music.
Sunday will comprise a family fun day in aid of Manorlands.
Miss Thornton said she was disappointed that a festival banner had been stolen from the bottom of Main Street.
She said it had been tied to railings, but someone had cut the fasteners and taken the banner shortly before Easter.
“I’m a bit miffed, because it’s a community event raising money for Manorlands, and these banners do cost money,” she added.
