A MAN has been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery of a young mother who was stabbed in the arm with a syringe.
The 22-year-old mum-of-two was pushing her baby through an alleyway, after dropping off her young daughter at school, when she was confronted by a man who demanded money.
When she refused the woman was stabbed with the needle.
She is now awaiting the results of medical tests.

Police yesterday revealed that a 28-year-old Bradford man was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of attempted robbery. He has been bailed pending further inquiries.
The incident happened off Harrogate Road, Eccleshill, Bradford.
The arrest came the day after the Telegraph & Argus carried an appeal with an efit of a suspect.
