PEOPLE are being urged to sign up for a Dragonboat race in Saltaire, while raising funds for the Lord Mayor of Bradford’s Appeal.
Up to 40 teams are expected to compete in the first ever City of Bradford Lord Mayor’s Appeal Dragonboat race to be held on Saturday, May 9, between 10am and 4pm, on the River Aire at Roberts Park.
Each team will get a minimum of three races each, racing against two other teams at any one time The charities which will benefit from the funds raised are Marie Curie and Make it Happen.
Entries are £500 per team, of up to 20 people per team.
Each team is challenged to raise a minimum £1,200 for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal.
