THE Labour Party’s battle bus came to Pudsey to offer support for Jamie Hanley’s campaign to be the town’s next MP.
A team of more than 40 activists including Leeds West hopeful Rachel Reeves, shadow spokesman on work and pensions, and Labour’s deputy election chief Jon Ashworth MP gave their backing to Mr Hanley over the Easter weekend.
Mr Hanley, Labour parliamentary candidate for Pudsey, said: “I’m so proud to have so many activists out with us knocking on doors – we have managed to speak with over 3,000 local residents this week.
“Everyday, dozens of people who are desperate for a better future give their free time to come and join me in talking to local residents who are determined to get rid of David Cameron’s Tory-led Government.”
