BRADFORD City chief operating officer James Mason paid tribute to Bantams fans after they set a world record.
A total of 403 City supporters wore flat caps to back the city's Burns Unit and set a new world record after their 3-0 defeat to Preston North End at Valley Parade on Easter Monday.
Jeremy White and Gavin Dimmock have raised more than £10,000 at the same time after setting the new Guinness World Record for the Greatest Number of Flat Caps at a Single Venue.
Fans of both City and Preston joined in, with the cost of buying a flat cap going to the Burns Unit.
Mr White and fellow City fan Mr Dimmock got the Bantams flat cap project under way earlier this year.
Each participant had to wear a flat cap for the full five-minute duration of the attempt and were given a numbered wristband.
Mr Mason said: "It never ceases to amaze me how the City fans come together in support of one another.
"Visually the flat caps looked great dotted around the ground and looked better still for the World Record photo.
"I'm so glad all the efforts of those involved will be rewarded with an official record and long may it stand."
