A MAN is facing court after being arrested for alleged shoplifting at the JD Sports shop in Bradford city centre at the weekend.

A store alarm was triggered and the store’s own security staff were able to retrieve a pair of Nike tracksuit trousers, with police arresting a man over the incident.

Bradford police say that a foil-lined bag had allegedly been used in an attempt to block the store’s security system.

A man is now due to appear in court in May but has to remain outside the city centre until that hearing, or risk being arrested.
