HUNDREDS of people flocked to Harold Park in Low Moor, Bradford, yesterday to hunt for Easter eggs and soak up the Bank Holiday sunshine.
The traditional event, run by the Friends of Harold Park group, was packed with children and families, with the crowds forcing organisers to make an impromptu shopping trip for eggs to ensure they were enough eggs to go round.
Aside from the Easter egg hunt, guests enjoyed various stalls and fun activities, a raffle, donkey rides, and an Easter bonnet competition.
Angela Tait, chairman of the Friends group, said she was “thrilled” with the turnout, saying: “We have gone through at least 500 eggs, which has led to some emergency re-stocking!.
“The event is now in its 11th year and had really built up a good reputation.
“The weather has certainly helped, and We had people queuing up at the park at half past 10 even though we didn’t start until 11.
“It’s great to see so many people all enjoying themselves.”
