A PREGNANT woman has spoken of her stress over her water-damaged flat at a complex in Bradford.
Nadine Cook, who is due to give birth to her second child in June, says she does not want to return to her one-bedroom apartment in The Gatehaus, Leeds Road, on the edge of Little Germany.
Miss Cook, 41, lived in the apartment with partner Alessandro Massimo, 32, and their 15-month-old son Arturo until they were relocated to a rented two-bedroom apartment elsewhere in The Gatehaus last September while repairs were carried out.
She says there has been constant water damage to the apartments ceilings and walls, between the kitchen, lounge and bedroom.
But the water has yet to affect the bathroom.
Miss Cook says her partner, Mr Massimo, bought the flat in May 2008 and claims the flat's ceiling has been removed three times since in a bid to stop the damage.
She says she dreads every time it rains as a "river flows" down the flat's walls and has even resorted to placing plastic bags over electrical light fittings.
Now Miss Cook says she wants the property fixed so she can sell it before the birth of her second child.
She said: "All we want to do is sell the apartment.
"I'm so stressed about it all. I just want to get out of there.
"I know I could not live there as it is.
"It has got worse and worse over the years.
"I don't want to go back until it's all fixed.
"We have had to put a plastic bag around the light in the bedroom because of the water.
"When it rains we have a river running down the wall. Our wooden floor is ruined. Water streams down the walls.
"It's gone on for so long.
"The last repair has left the apartment in a worse state than before."
The Gatehaus complex opened in 2007 at a total cost of £22 million and features 142 one, two and three bed apartments.
A Braemar Estates spokesman said: "Braemar Estates became managing agent of The Gatehaus in May 2012, inheriting a building which was already suffering from considerable structural problems.
"While Braemar Estates does sympathise with the problems that Miss Cook has experienced, unfortunately the managing agent is not responsible for the repairs as this is an issue between the tenants and Premier Guarantee, which pre-dates our involvement with The Gatehaus.
"Given the time that had already lapsed since the claim was instigated, Braemar Estates offered to relocate the tenants from their one-bed studio apartment to a two-bed apartment within the same building, which the tenants accepted, while the problems were investigated.
"We have done everything we can to assist them in this matter given that neither Braemar Estates, nor the landlord, is a party to the claim."
A spokesman for Premier Guarantee said the company was unable to comment on the situation, as it only acted as a cover holder for the insurance company involved in the claim.
