Keighley residents have urged councillors to take action against dog mess on pavements in their neighbourhood.
Keighley West ward councillors Jan Smithies and Adrian Farley have pledged to try to stamp out the menace in Exley Head.
The Labour politicians, who serve on Bradford Council, were alerted to the issue by visitors to their recent surgery.
Cllr Smithies: “Dog mess was the number one issue raised. It’s a real mess and a health hazard.”
Cllr Farley has previously campaigned against dog dirt in the Broomhill area of his ward.
He said: “On a walkabout I was horrified to see how much dog dirt was littering the pavement. At one point it was easier walking on the road.
“Anti-social behaviour caused by the few is making people’s lives a misery. It’s unacceptable and it must stop."
Cllr Farley asked for increased warden patrols in the Broomhill area, new warning signs, and washing of the pavements.
