BRADFORD-based travel business Redfern has been recognised in two categories at this year’s Northern Tech Awards.

Redfern was named as one of the North’s top 15 fastest growing larger technology companies as well as being cited in the top 50 fast growing tech companies across the north.

The company has experienced substantial growth over the last few years. Redfern is the nominated supplier of UK travel management to the Government and was named in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track league table of Britain’s 100 fastest growing businesses.

Redfern has achieved sales growth of almost 500 per cent over the last three years and the business now processes a transaction every three seconds on behalf of more than 500 clients throughout the UK Usman Hamid , Redfern’s head of IT, said: “The Northern Tech Awards showcases the fastest growing companies in the North, including Scotland and brought together some of the brightest businesses in the industry. Of the 50 fastest growing companies in the north, a total of 17 came from the Yorkshire region and we were honoured to be among that number.

“We’ve worked to build a world class tech platform which would facilitate growth and last night’s recognition is testament to the work put in by the whole team.”
