A BRADFORD cricket club will be able to expand its number of junior coaches thanks to a donation from a chartered accountants.
Thornton Cricket Club received the £500 funding from the Watson Buckle Foundation, a charitable fund set up by the firm to fund sporting legacy projects following the 2012 Olympics.
The club will use the money to train their coaches to England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) standard over a ten-week course.
Ian Gill, director at Watson Buckle, said: “We were delighted to accept the request from Thornton CC, and this grant will go a long way to help the club develop their junior teams and encourage more young people to take up the sport.”
