A FEMALE carer has been cleared of sexually assaulting an elderly woman at a nursing home.
Maria Bucag was accused of inappropriately touching the woman at Ashcroft Nursing Home, Undercliffe, Bradford, on May 2 last year.
Yesterday, the case was dropped when the Crown offered no evidence against Bucag, 44, of Brindle Close, Allerton, Bradford. Judge David Hatton QC returned a not guilty verdict.
He also cleared Bucag of an accusation of common assault, alleged to have happened on the same date at the care home.
