POLICE last night appealed for witnesses following a hit-and-run crash in Bradford which left a man needing hospital treatment for a head injury.
The 56-year-old victim was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary after being knocked to the ground in Manchester Road, near the junction with Carrbottom Road, at about 12.50am on Monday, March 22.
The vehicle, described as a silver-coloured saloon car, failed to stop and made off down Carrbottom Road. The incident was captured on CCTV.
PC Paul Conroy, of Bradford District Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support team, said: “We urgently need to speak to the driver of the vehicle involved and would ask them to come forward.
“I would also ask anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information that may help the police, to get in touch.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Conroy on 101, quoting crime reference 0058 of March 22, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
