BRADFORD Muslim Women’s Forum is to host a seminar encouraging local women to engage in politics on Thursday.
The event, entitled Empowering Women – Creating Diverse Political Leaders, will take place at Grange Interlink, on Summerville Road, from 5.30pm.
Keynote speakers are set to include Rachael Reeves, the Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, and Naz Shah, Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Bradford West.
Sabiya Khan, chairman of the forum, said the aim of the event was to enable women who had been “excluded from the political arena” to re-engage with that aspect of their lives.
