A SURVEY has placed Bradford among some of the UK’s worst cities for traffic congestion.
A poll by traffic information company TomTom found that congestion in 14 of the UK’s 17 biggest cities was worse in 2014 compared with 2013, with only Bristol seeing jams ease slightly.
Figures for Bradford, Leeds and Sheffield remained the same between 2013 and 2014. But the West Yorkshire Combined Authority is hopeful that a Single Transport Plan for West Yorkshire can ease congestion and deliver economic growth.
Jeff English, 54, assistant director at West Yorkshire Combined Authority, said: “We are at an early stage of our plans, but we want to hear from all transport users over the next five weeks about what can be done to benefit all.”
