BECKFOOT and Bingley Tennis Club has bought the land where its courts stand on Beckfoot Lane, Bingley.

The money was raised by loans and donations from club members past and present and now the club can apply for funding from various bodies to improve facilities.

It hopes to transform some courts to all-weather surfaces so tennis can be played throughout the year.

New members are welcome and social tennis is played on Wednesdays from 6pm starting from April 22.

The club offers free taster sessions and annual membership deals include £10 per year for under 18s.
