A BRADFORD pub is set for a new lease of life after being taken over by Century Bars and Inns.

The company is now operating the The White Swan in Idle, in partnership with the pub's owners, Punch Taverns.

New managers Darren Courtney and Melissa Mortimer are now at the helm of the formerly boarded-up premises, which plans to start introducing food and live music over the Easter period.

Jim Owthwaite, business development manager for Punch Taverns, said: "It’s a real credit to the team that they’ve got the Swan flying again, and they are well on their way to putting the pub at the heart of Idle."
