LANDLORD Martin Crosswaite is familiar with serving up pints and pies at his Busfeild Arms pub in East Morton, but visitors on Saturday were also treated to a large portion of excitement.
Mr Crosswaite, 35, is a former motorcycle stunt rider who moved into the pub trade as a form of 'retirement'.
But now he is back in the saddle with a new venture called On The Edge, a motorbike stunt team and decided to use the pub as a venue for filming a promotional video.
Between 400 and 500 people turned out for the event, which involved him and fellow rider Jack Challoner jumping trucks on trials bikes, riding off the roof of the pub building and more daredevil antics.
The show was delayed by morning rain because the riding required is so precise it becomes too dangerous to attempt the stunts in wet conditions.
Even then, the session did not go exactly to plan and Mr Crosswaite had one mishap while filming, but escaped unscathed.
"We advertised it locally and there were about 400 or 500 people turned up. I think there would have been more if the weather had been better.
"I have been at it all my life and thought I had retired when I bought the pub," he said.
