YORKSHIRE Water is urging its customers in Bradford to order a special pack that will help improve their water efficiency and reduce bills.
As part of Waterwise’s national Water Saving Week, which ends on Saturday, the company is providing free water-saving packs containing four devices that could save more than 18,000 litres of water each year per household, equivalent to the capacity of 225 bathtubs.
Clare Dunlop, water resource manager at Yorkshire Water, said: “Water Saving Week is an important occasion to raise the awareness of water efficiency and our ‘Save A Little Save A Lot’ campaign. On average, we each use 130 to 150 litres of water each day but this could be cut significantly by adopting simple water-saving techniques.
“By being more water efficient this also helps ease the pressure on local rivers and reservoirs, creating more stable environments for the wildlife that lives there.” To order a free water saving pack visit: yorkshirewater.com/savewater
