THE history, geology and industrial archaeology of Northcliffe woods and park will be explained during an afternoon walk this Easter.
The Friends of Northcliffe members are celebrating their silver anniversary this year and on Saturday, April 4, there will be two-hour guided walk starting at the Cliffe Wood Avenue entrance at 2pm.
Recent work by the Northcliffe Heritage Project has uncovered evidence of mining and quarrying dating back to the late 17th century.
The walk is not suitable for young children – details are available from the group’s website at friendsofnorthcliffe.org.uk
