POLICE are appealing for information following anthe attempted robbery of a teenager on the outskirts of Cleckheaton.
The 17-year-old victim was walking alone on the Greenway at the bridge over Primrose Lane at around 7pm on Wednesday, when he has passed a group of four men.
As he has walked past, One of men started talking to him before grabbing his jacket and attempting to put his hands in the pockets.
A struggle followed before the victim was has been tackled to the ground. HeWhile on the ground he was further assaulted by the group before they walked away. The victim suffered minor head and body injuries.
The suspects are described as four Asian men, aged between 18 and 19-years-old. The man who grabbed him was wearing a black hooded top. Detective Constable Andy Clayton, of Kirklees District Robbery Team, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone else who was in the Greenway area around the time of this offence who has seen a group matching this description.“Anyone with information is asked to Call the Kirklees District Robbery Team with information on 101.
