ONE Direction star Zayn Malik has been offered a job in his hometown of Bradford to help him achieve his desire of a "normal life".
The 22-year-old quit the hit boyband yesterday after taking an early leave from its tour citing "stress".
The company has now offered Zayn, who grew-up in East Bowling, the position of Chief Taste Tester at is Bradford factory.
Seabrook marketing director Kevin Butterworth said: “It would certainly cause a stir at Seabrook HQ if Zayn was able to take us up on our offer. The team might be a little bit starstruck at first, but they’d soon get used to working with an ex global superstar. We’d make him feel right at home.”
His letter to the singer reads:
Dear Zayn,
We’re very sorry to hear about your recent decision to leave One Direction, but Seabrook has an opportunity, which we hope will put a smile on your face.
We understand your desire to live a normal life and think we might be able to assist with your request to Take Me Home, by helping you return to your roots back in Bradford.
As staunch directioners here at Seabrook we will miss your dulcet tones, but we have a job opening at the factory and when considering the perfect applicant, the team agreed; it’s Gotta Be You.
Zayn, What Makes You Beautiful is you are a genuine and hardworking Yorkshire lad and it’s the Little Things like that which go a long way here at Seabrook HQ.
The role of Chief Taste Tester is up for grabs and if you’re a real Bradford lad then we’re confident if there’s One Thing you know, is what a good crisp tastes like.
The role would involve reasonable working hours, a competitive salary and while there may not be hordes of women trying to Kiss You, the job satisfaction is Better Than Words.
We know you’ll miss Harry and the boys, but if They Don’t Know About Us then you’re better off without them. We’re great believers in the ethos that we should Live While We’re Young and nothing makes you feel more alive than seeing humble spuds transformed into taste sensations.
Don’t Forget Where You Belong, Bradford misses you and we bet you miss it too. Do let us know; personally I feel that You and I would have the X Factor.
Yours sincerely,
Kevin Butterworth,
Marketing Director
