STUDENT Charlotte Blowers has won an award in a national hairdressing competition.
The 17-year-old, who is an apprentice at Exceed Salon in Clayton Heights, Bradford, won a diploma, trophy and cash award, in the Ladies Day Style section of the National Hairdressing Federation Competition in Blackpool.
Charlotte, of Clayton, is studying for an NVQ Level 3 in hairdressing at Exceed Training Academy.
She said: “I was so pleased to win the award, especially as I entered the competition last year and only got 5th place."
“It’s clear that Charlotte has vastly improved in both technique and confidence over the last 12 months,” said Helen Roe, owner of Exceed Training Academy and salon. “I’m extremely proud that she persevered and entered the competition again. To walk away with this nationally-recognised award is clear evidence of her hard work and dedication to hairdressing. I just want to say a huge well done to Charlotte.”
