BRADFORD’S City Hall will turn purple tomorrow to show support for people with epilepsy.
Purple Day, the global day for epilepsy awareness, will see the Bradford Council building change colour to raise awareness of the condition. Other buildings across the UK and the world will too.
This Purple Day, the charity is asking ‘What does epilepsy look like?’ and challenging misconceptions about what it is like to live with the condition. It is launching a series of short films documenting people’s experiences of living with epilepsy over the year.
Stacey Rennard, of Epilepsy Action, said: “We’re delighted Bradford Council is supporting Purple Day this year and that Bradford City Hall is turning purple. It will help us challenge some of the common myths and misconceptions associated with the condition.”
