A SCHOOLBOY who locked himself in a schoolroom had to be freed by firefighters after teachers’ attempts to get him out failed.
The crew from Fairweather Green fire station had to be called to Lister Primary School in Manningham yesterday morning, after the nine-year-old boy locked himself in a side-room.
They tried to break the lock, but when that did not work they forced entry with a metal bar. The boy was “very calm and not distressed at all” said Watch Commander Alistair MacLellan.
