THE outgoing Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Mike Gibbons, was thanked for the work he had done in his year of office at tonight's council meeting.
The leaders of the political parties also paid tribute to the councillors who were not seeking re-election in May, including one member of the council's Executive, Councillor Amir Hussain (Lab, Toller), three former Lord Mayors, councillors Howard Middleton (Lib Dem, Bolton and Undercliffe), John Godward (Lab, Great Horton) and Ghazanfer Khaliq (Lab, Bradford Moor), outgoing deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Roger L'Amie (Con, Baildon) and the Labour group's chief whip, Councillor Sher Khan (Little Horton).
