KEIGHLEY MP Kris Hopkins has received a petition from homelessness charity Crisis calling for a review of the law to ensure that no one is forced to sleep rough.
He also accepted the No One Turned Away petition signed by 45,000 people. It wants a reassessment of the assistance given to homeless people in England.
Mr Hopkins (Conservative), the Homelessness Minister, said: “Homelessness acceptances remain lower than in 27 of the last 30 years, and homelessness is about half the average level it was when under the previous administration.
“I look forward to continuing to meet with Crisis and other charities and homelessness groups to see what more we can do to help.”
