A BRADFORD teenager has spoken of her horror at coming across a serious road crash involving her brother as she took a taxi ride through the city.

Shop owner Dean McLaughlin, 21, was a passenger in a Ford Focus car that was left overturned following a collision that also involved a Mercedes saloon at the Hamm Strasse junction with Canal Road yesterday afternoon.

He was spotted by sister Antonia, 16, who was by chance passing in a taxi moments after the collision occurred.

By that time, Dean had managed to clamber from the wreckage but was “drip white,” said Antonia, with suspected injuries to his neck and arm.

She said: “I was passing in a taxi and saw his face. I jumped out of the moving taxi. He is ok, he has hurt his neck and arm and was in the car which overturned.

He had been out to collect stock for his mobile phone repair business when the collision happened, she said.

Police said there were two other casualties, both aged 28, who were also taken to hospital for health checks.
