Police investigating a suspected organised shoplifting ring in Bradford have arrested five women and seized clothing and accessories believed to be worth more than £10,000.
Officers conducted a series of warrants at addresses across the city yesterday, seizing clothing and accessories believed to have been stolen from retailers across West Yorkshire.
Police executed the warrants in the Holme Wood and Fagley areas after they received information about suspected stolen clothing and accessories being sold on online auction sites.
The women, aged 22, 27, 34, 38 and 55, who were arrested for various theft and handling offences, were all bailed pending further enquiries.
