MOTORISTS have been warned that a Bradford road is to be subject to a week of daytime closures, which will only come into force after morning rush-hour traffic has had the chance to clear.
Gaisby Lane will be closed to allow engineers to carry out resurfacing work, but bus services will still be able to operate through the area for city-bound passengers.
The first closure will be in place today and the work is expected to take seven days to complete.
The 656, 675 and 677 services all use Gaisby Lane, but Metro, the body which oversees public transport across West Yorkshire, said those services would use the school bus stop on Gaisby Lane to pick up and drop off passengers during the work.
Services operating on the out-of-city route will be diverted via Canal Road.
A council spokesman said work will begin at 09.30am for each of the days.
