Firefighters break into house to rescue elderly woman who had fallen
FIREFIGHTERS had to break into a house in Keighley this morning to rescue an elderly woman who had fallen and injured herself.
Crews from Keighley were called to the woman's house in Manville Walk at 5.30am after being alerted by neighbours.
They broke down the door and found the woman on the floor, where it is thought she had been for some time.
Ambulance services also attended the scene, and the woman was taken to Airedale General Hospital for a full check-up.
A spokesman for the Keighley crew said her injuries are not thought to be serious.
