A CATERING boiler for use around Queensbury has been donated to the village by two local councillors.
Paul and Lynda Cromie used their own money to buy the equipment.
“Whenever there is a community event, and there are 40 to 50 folk in there, we are forever boiling kettles,” said Cllr Paul Cromie.
“We can cater for people almost instantaneously now.
“It is for no-one in particular, anyone can borrow it. If anyone wants to borrow it, they can.”
He said Norah McWilliam, of the Queensbury Community Heritage Action Partnership, was particularly pleased with the purchase.
“She said it would be perfect for community events at the Black Dyke Mills Heritage Centre, which is Queensbury Community Heritage and Action Partnership’s base,” he added.
Anyone who would like to borrow the boiler can contact Cllr Lynda Cromie on 01274 884899 or 07745 683112.
