BRADFORD MP David Ward visited an accident and emergency ward on a busy Saturday night to see the “enormous pressure” staff are under.
Mr Ward, Liberal Democrat MP for Bradford East, went to Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI), where he talked to patients and staff, including lead nurse Alex Smith.
He said: “People talk about the pressures on A&E and higher waiting times but it is only when you see the incredible A&E department in action that you learn to appreciate the service that is being provided at the BRI. I was very impressed with the high degree of team work.”
