AN awareness walk is being held on Saturday featuring Siberian husky dog Murphy who was missing from Bradford for several weeks.
The one-mile walk, Murphy’s Army – The Great British Dog Walk, starts at Centenary Square at 1pm. Registration is from noon.
More than 50 one-mile walks are taking place at the same time across the UK, to raise awareness of the rising number of dog thefts and the importance of micro-chipping.
Murphy slipped his lead and was thought to be stolen on December 4 last year. A huge social media campaign followed before four-year-old Murphy was found in Manchester on February 26 and reunited with owner Andy Smith.
