SILSDEN poultry expert Edward Boothman has another feather in his cap. He took the champion-ship title with his pair of White Call ducks at the Craven Feather Auctions premier poultry show held at Skipton Auction mart and sale.
The ducks are siblings of the brother and sister which took first prize at the last show. He is pictured (on the right) with Lee Grice, of Craven Poultry Keepers Association, and judge Jacqui Moore. and the winning White Call ducks “The secret is good breeding,” said Mr Boothman, chairman of Craven Poultry Keepers Club and the Poultry Club of Great Britain.
“I originally bought the parents from one of the top breeders in the country, S&G Hodge.”The winning pair sold at the event, at Skipton Auction Mart, for £50.
Show judge was Jacqui Moore, of Middleton, Manchester.
