BRADFORD’S Liberal Democrat group has reacted angrily after being told a plan to build new swimming pools cannot be debated by the full council on Tuesday.
The group wants to see schools built instead of four new pools.
But the group was told in a letter that their motion was being “disallowed”, as the council’s decision making executive had already give the go-ahead.
Councillor Dominic Fear (Lib Dem, Idle and Thackley), who had submitted the motion, said: “No-one can ask any questions or do anything about it, which creates a democratic deficit.”
