A WOMAN was taken to hospital after her car was involved in a crash with a bin lorry in Haworth.
The 23-year-old’s Ford Fiesta Zetec was in collision with the red truck at about 7.45am yesterday on Heathcliffe Mews, near its junction with Rawdon Road and by Haworth Primary School.
Fire crews from Keighley, Bingley and Cleckheaton stations were called to free the woman from the car because she was trapped inside.
A spokesman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 7.45am to a crash in Heathcliffe Mews, Haworth, Keighley, involving a lorry and a car. We transported one patient by ambulance to Airedale General Hospital with back pain.”
Police closed Rawdon Road between its junctions with Butt Lane and Mytholmes Lane until 9.50am.
At least three Transdev Keighley bus services operated by were cancelled as a result of the crash.
