Police have urged witnesses to come forward
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attack on a woman yesterday.
The incident happened at 9.41am in Harrogate Road, Eccleshill, when a man approached her asking for money. She refused and she was then attacked.
She required hospital treatment as a result of the incident but was not seriously injured.

The suspect is described as 5ft 8ins tall with scruffy long blond dirty hair. He had a beard and dark trousers and was wearing a green parka-style coat. He was carrying several plastic bags.
Witnesses should contact police on 101.
