STAFF from Bradford Council will be raising awareness of child sexual exploitation directly with the public tomorrow.
National child sexual exploitation awareness day aims to highlight the issue and encourage people to spot and speak out against abuse.
Council staff, with partner agencies and pupils from Belle Vue Boys School, who have been working on healthy relationships, will be in Centenary Square from noon giving out leaflets.
and talking to young people and families to promote awareness of CSE.
Councillor Ralph Berry, the Council’s executive member for Children’s Services, said: “Child sexual exploitation is a dreadful crime and one that needs to be identified and perpetrators pursued and prosecuted.
“This day is the chance to raise awareness of this deplorable crime so people are able to better spot the signs and they know how they can report any concerns they may have.”
