BRADFORD men are least likely to make improvements to their home, a survey has found.
The research by Everest Home Improvements found 58 per cent of men from the city will not carry out DIY work. The study also found more than a third of people in Bradford have windows and driveways that are in disrepair, while one in five are actively avoiding improving their kitchens and bathrooms.
Fears of costs (40 per cent) and disruption (25 per cent) were the most common reasons for not doing this work.
More than a third of people in Bradford say the exterior of their homes is falling apart and 30 per cent think their homes look ugly.
Almost 20 per cent would like to update their windows but have never got round to doing it, even though they felt that it would help to improve their home’s energy efficiency (62 per cent).
