MUSIC lovers are in for a treat when West Yorkshire Organ Day comes to Bradford at the city’s cathedral on May 9.
The agenda features a welcome and talk by Alexander Woodrow – organist and director of music at Bradford Cathedral.
Then there is a coach to St Joseph’s RC Church in Packington Street for a talk and demonstration by Ben Saunders of Leeds Cathedral. There will also be a look at the restoration of the Hopkins Organ by independent organ consultant Dr John Rowntree.
Back at the cathedral, Dr Gordon Stewart will give an illustrated talk on Playing Bach in the 21st Century before a recital by Mr Woodrow.
