FUNDING provided by Comic Relief is helping a Keighley organisation steer young people away from drugs.
Project 6 has received £135,000 to set up a scheme to support youngsters who are using, or at risk from, substances.
A ‘resilience worker’ will be recruited as part of the initiative, which will also assist those with problems relating to parental drug use.
Mike Cadger, Project 6 chief executive, said the venture aimed to reduce drugs usage among young people.
“The project will help break the cycle of drug use in the area,” said Mr Cadger.
